The Danes has built a very clever expeditionary fleet on a limited budget. Unfortunately now as the pendulum has swung back towards high intensity warfare in the Baltic Sea they too find themselves trying to fix capabilities that were axed to pay for said expeditionary fleet. Cutting away the ASW ca...

Catchy title huh? As some of you may remember there was a bit huff-huff in 2014 when Thyssen-Krupp was more or less forced to sell Kockums to Saab after a join government-Saab armtwisting effort. Kockums had been starved and attempted to be destroyed by TKMS for years. In other words Saab was ...

According to Fox New, Hawaii has no fallout or blast shelters. ...This appears to be true. If I'm understanding this PDF from HI-EMA correctly, Hawaii has no designated fallout shelters, relocation plans, or supply caches (pgs 15-30): https://dod.hawaii.gov/hiema/files/2017/11/HI-EMA-PUBLIC-BMP-wor...

Timeline, Maj. Gen. Logan seems to have been on the ball having managed to secure confirmation that it was a false alarm within three minutes. Approx. 8.05am: A routine internal test during a shift change was initiated. This was a test that involved the Emergency Alert System, the Wireless Emergency...

The German Navy was hit by the same "expeditionary" fad as everyone else. Now they have to pick up the pieces...like everyone else. The only thing differentiating the various European countries in this regard is where in the cycle they are, I fear that Germany is only now hitting the low p...

How someone on the ground experienced it. (Yeah the ending paragraph is a bit much but I’m inclined to cut the guy some slack given the circumstances.) What I would like to see, is a revival of the Class B Uniform. In my day, we had the khakis and optional Tropical Worsteds for officers. You weren't allowed to go into town wearing fatigues, the predecessors of BDUs. The Class Bs were comfortable and smart, without being as formal as the Class As. ...

It’s a nice looking uniform, better than what’s currently used. STAND-TO! What is it? Pink and Green Uniform is the service uniform from the World War II era. Army officers wore the Pink and Green Uniform from the early 1930s to the early 1950s. It is widely recognized as the best dress uniform the ...

I’ll keep an eye out for further videos.

I think the 16 rounds per minute rate is supposed to be sustained until the magazine runs dry. The burst rate is said to be 4 rounds in 8 seconds.

Is the armed Hawk version going to be on one of the lists? (”Other”?)
It’d be a bit interesting to compare the various jet trainers that have had some combat capability with one another. :)

It seems like the big change will come if SpaceX manages to get BFR up and running as envisioned.
That should bring down launch costs notably, even for large/heavy items.
