This is a bit belated as this took place on the same day as His Majesty's cremation ceremony, but I know we have some members who have an interest in Thailand and its beloved former monarch. Perhaps it will find its way to Suphi.

On October 26th a ceremony was held in Stockholm in honor of the deceased Knight of the Order of the Seraphim, His Majesty King Bhumibol of Thailand.
These ceremonies usually attract limited attention but due to the high degree of respect and love for the King by the Thai people it was attended by an unusually great amount of mourners.

The ceremony consists of a ceremonial transfer of the coat of arms of the Knight from the Royal Palace to the Riddarholmen Church by a honor guard, accompanied by a procession of mourners.
The Riddarholmen Church is a royal burial church and in it all the coat of arms of deceased Knights of the Seraphim are hung in remembrance.

The ceremony at the church itself is centered around a bell ringing accompanied by somber music by a military band. These ceremonies are the only occassions in which the church's bells are allowed to ring.

In the procession you will see among others the ambassador from Thailand in white dress uniform and Swedish senior court officials in morning coats.

The Swedish Queen attended the cremation ceremony in Thailand at the same time as the Stockholm procession took place.
