I am looking to buy or borrow (for about two weeks), an unabridged CD sound recording of Red Storm Rising.

I never knew one existed! Probably my all-time favourite Clancy novel- if you have any luck do let me know where from please.

My regional Library system, the primary source for most of my sound CDs, had about a half dozen copies of the unabridged and more than a dozen of the abridged Sound CD but over the years that supply has been exhausted. I understand the system has constraints and aside from the classics tries to stay quite current. I can make a request but that is a very "Iffy" and time consuming process.

I usually listen, via my Ipod to sound CDs in the winter while I am working on my various projects. I have orders for two scratch built models, one a 50 ft. 1928 Elco "Comuter" cabin cruiser. A real beauty, if i do say so myself, I started last winter and have to delivery before Christmas. The other is a certain for a former J.O. (and my DIVO God help me) of my old "Hal" (AKA USS Halyburton FFG-40). Yah and that bastard is going to pay through the nose. I'll teach the bastard to shanghai me and get my own wife to act as crimp.

Got to scoot underway at 9 today
.

Can't help with CDs I'm afraid.

If you're willing to listen to it via your iPod you should be able to buy it from iTunes and download it.
Here's a link:

(Hope the link works.)

Thanks "Micael" I did not even think of that option. I'll look into it.

Once again I am struck by the fact Stu's Mad House is crewed by some really outstanding folks.
