Magnet has observed the Italian convoy and has noted about a dozen large merchant vessels. We were fired upon by a Dandalo class battleship. There appear to be a few escort vessels with the convoy

Kaiser Karl VI was unable to catch the fleeing Carlo Alberto because of our hull damage. We inflicted a few hits which caused some damage. The target was last seen burning and fleeing rapidly on course 180. Kaiser Karl VI was able to rejoin the other cruisers. We suffered no damage in the last 15 minutes.

Panther also fired on the fleeing Carlo Alberto but scored no appreciable damage. We received no damage in return.

Leopard’s status is the same as Panther.

The cruisers are moving on course roughly 90, speed 10 knots.

Battle Divisions are on course 90 at 17 knots except for Ezherhog Karl.

Ezherhog Karl has assumed a position at the rear of the battleline. She is beginning to fall behind. Our speed has fallen to 9 knots due to additional flooding.

Escorting vessels are assuming their new positions in the formation.

We have noted the enemy battle line moving into position. Their speed appears to be about 18 knots. They are moving on course about 30 to intercept our battleline.

All cruisers report best speed to Kaiser Karl VI. Cruisers to increase speed to best possible, maintain 1,000 yard separation, and assume course 090.

Magnet to continue to shadow convoy. Chase salvoes at best possible speed. If enemy light vessels move to intercept, run to the cruisers at flank.

Should be Dulio class, the Dandalo was the second ship. Though, that is undoubtedly Dandalo herself, since Dulio was decomissioned in 1906. Main armament are these four 450mm (17.7 inch) muzzle loaders with a fire rate of like 1 round every 20 minutes. They aren't going to hit anything. Next down would be three 120mm guns, i think the cruisers can take it. Looks like the Italians can do 18 knots, sadly no speed advantage for us. Though at the least it's not a large disadvantage.

Orders

-All ships maintain current course and speed.

Actually the Dandalo can get off a broadside every 15 minutes.

A hit, however, would be very damaging. You are talking about a 2000lb shell vs a cruiser. Good news is that the penetration of said shell is horrid even by the standards of 1909.

Conform to fleet.

Lookouts keep a sharp eye for debris. I'll have no damage to my ships that could have been prevented!
