Well, apart from the one I'm using now. :D

Merry Christmas to all my readers. May Santa bring you everything you deserve.

How about if Jan feels better? I wish for that for Christmas.

Hope you are recovering well, Jan!

36 degrees C with a nasty bushfire yesterday at the reserve at the back of my place, aside from smoke inhalation and some very minor burns we are all fine. I stayed to defend my place while my sons defended the next door neighbour's house, they being away. Good solid sons, they are. Volunteer bush fire brigade from Guise's Creek saved the day in the end, and several properties I suspect.

Today it's raining and quite cool (25 degrees), which is a priceless gift on Christmas Day!

A Merry, safe, happy and Holy Christmas to you all. I have had my gift from the Good Lord, my house and family are still here, all safe.

Cheers: Mark

Hope you're recovering well, Jan!

Here in sunny California it was 62 degrees F today, a few high thin cirrus clouds, and a cold 28 F last night (we've had two frost/freeze warnings in the Central Valley and the nearby foothills-where I am-in a row, but not tonight, thank heavens). White Christmas? Only if it's frost from the Valley floor up to 7,000 feet in the Sierra, then you hit the snowline.

Still, Merry Christmas, everyone!

Speaking of SoCal and a White Christmas, there was snow on the hills at the old El Toro Marine Air Station here in Irvine last year, but it's too warm now this year.

3 AM, suddenly became necessary to change cat litter...

There was some ice on lawn, but I was out on our un-heated patio, bare-foot, in short-sleeve T, glumly bagging & tagging.

Air felt so mild, I checked our wireless sensor: That claimed temperature was six (+6) Centigrade. Plus/minus one point five, of course, of course...

Of course, rest of country seems to have had a dozen degrees of frost...

Saints be praised, finally home. Been away a lot so I thought I would save the chaps. since
112 as a Christmas present for myself. And, not surprisingly, it met all expectations.
(My wife said that if she had told me there was a new Enzo in the drive with my name on it I would have told her it would have to wait.) Jan, thanks for your story. I know it's a labor of
love, but it is obvious that there is much effort devoted to it. Believe me, it is appreciated. And, thanks to all your contributors, their additions are signifigant.
So, to you, Jan, and all the other TLW'ers, a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

I appreciate all the sentiments, gents. I do hope Santa was good to you all; he certainly was to me, I'll need to list all the good books I got.
It hasn't snowed since the day before yesterday here, but there is still alot of it on the ground so we got our White Christmas after all. Not that I think I that bothered by it, bit overrated IMVHO.

Btw I hate all of you experiencing hot weather.

Hope to have 115 finished by tomorrow.

P.S.
Watched Part 1 of the Doctor Who Christmas Special tonight (the last story with David Tennant) and not only is The Master back, but shock, of shocks the Time Lords seem to be alive and well!

Not only that, TIMOTHY DALTON!

*goes to watch 'The Living Daylights'*

Anyhow, I'll miss DT.. because Series 2 of the new show was when I really, really got into Dr Who.

I know; I liked him in Hot Fuzz as well. Shows that he's quite a versatile actor.
I agree, DT was a great Doctor, a fitting sucessor to CE. I'll be interested to see how Matt Smith does.

Until I've seen more of Matt Smith I'll continue to think that he's too young. But we'll see.

Merry Christmas to everyone also! I have to wait til tomorrow to catch Doctor Who on BBC America. I will be sad to see DT go but I've been a fan since 1980 and Tom Baker so after a half dozen regenerations or so I just look forward to a new take on the Doctor. But the Time Lords are BACK?! oh boy

Remember that the Doctor was young once, so it is appropriate that at least one of his regenerations should be young. Also remember that Peter Davison was quite young when he took on the role, so its not new to have a young Doctor.

Hope I haven't given away too many spoilers (mind you wiki has more than I've mentioned  ). IMVHO Tom Baker was one of the best Doctors, though I don't think I could pick one as an all time favourite.
I thought that Cristopher Eccleston would be a hard act to follow and it is a pleasure to be reminded of how excellent he was when seeing repeats, but David Tennant is brilliant in the role. I'll miss him too.
It's a big shock to see the Time Lords and Gallifrey apparently restored; the last four series have made a big deal of the Doctor and the Master being the last two Time Lords left (makes me wonder what happened to Susan), so this has turned things on their head.
I'm certainly looking forward to the next episode on New Years Day.

No you didn't, I have a sick love of spoilers and can't resist them. I have a hard time saying you my favorite Doctor is also although I have a soft spot for Silvester Mccoy as I love how his Doctor keep dropping hints that the Doctor was so much more than "just a time lord" but thats why new Doctors don't bother me. Every actor has been enjoyable even Colin Baker who I think was the weakest. To me a regeneration is just a new start to a continuing story. But having said that Tennant will be a very hard act to follow. He combined many of the best things from past Doctors. He will be missed. Theres always the Three doctors for the 5 or tenth anniversery or when ever they get around tpo it. Having Eccleston, Tennant and Smith will be a blast.
