This, except add some anger. Too goddamned young, and too soon, by far. "What the hell?" is all I can think of right now.

Andrew Jensen's passing at such a comparatively early age is indeed very sad news. Rest in peace, Andrew.

Deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was a valued member of the HPCA family and his contributions and presence will be missed.

Saying I am shocked and saddened would be a horrible understatement. I actually let out a very uncharacteristic string of obscenities when I read this. The world is a lesser place... RIP Andrew.

That is indeed sad news.

He brought a voice of reason to every discussion.

Very saddened to hear that, it was always a pleasure to see his posts.

I just saw this after a weekend away.

My condolences to his family. I am saddened by his loss and will miss him.

I'm completely floored by this.

And it makes the difficulties I was having with the kids cleaning the house this weekend look as they are, small and petty.

I need to give some people some hugs when I get home.

You will be missed, Sir.

Way too young for this. My prayers to his family. I hope he is at peace.

Thanks to Theodore for posting the Obit link. I hope his family will realize that there were a whole bunch of net hooligans that will miss his presence.

Hats off and condolences.

Strangely it seems we frequented some of the same places though I never knowingly met him. My loss.

Rest in peace.

This is truly sad news. I am so sorry for his family, and will miss the intelligent style and class he brought to his posts.

May I suggest that in due course, perhaps a small subforum here, perhaps called 'the advance party' could be formed, where we can honour past members who have gone ahead of us, by preserving both some of their posts, and our memories of them?

I second that suggestion.

Stunned at the loss.

I'll third that.

Everybody make sure there are ways for folks here to know or find out what has happened to you, just in case. Knowing is bad, but just static and disappearance is worse. God willing, we won't need it for a long, long time.

My condolences and prayers for his family and friends, including those he never met in person.

This is a reminder to all of us to hold cherished the people in our lives. With modern technology we have friends all over the world now, many of them we don't really know other than words on a screen, but their departure is scarce less traumatic for all that. Sad news indeed.

He was a person that you could never meet, but would still make you feel like a friend. He was a person of cheerful resolve, and charming disposition. His steady demeanor, his readiness to share knowledge, and his competence were admirable — and I would thank him for the way he lived if I could. I will miss him a lot.

I would like to suggest that everyone here who considered him your online friend go to the memorial page linked by Theodore on the first page and "light a candle" for him. You're asked for your name and to put in a few words about him. I think the family would be pleased to know how many people he affected, helped and befriended here.

Reposted here, direct link to the "Light a candle" page http://www.muellermemorial.com/book-of-memories/2285342/Jensen-Andrew/service-details.php

I personally mentioned that I was an online friend from HPCA.
